intercultural understanding and relationships.

A very powerful force in the promotion of international understanding and peace is individual and personal exposure to different cultures. The world becomes a smaller,
friendlier place when we learn that all people regardless of nationality desire the same basic things: a safe, comfortable environment that allows
for a rich and satisfying life for our children and ourselves. Youth Exchange provides thousands of young people with the opportunity to meet people
from other countries and to experience their cultures. This plants the seeds for a lifetime of international understanding.

The Rotary International network includes over 31,000 clubs in 166 countries with 1.2 million
members, and the Rotary Youth Exchange arm
provides on average, 8,000 teenagers each year an adventure of a lifetime: a chance to live, learn and become a true part of a new family, culture and way of life as a
high school foreign exchange student.
